The Nike Air Max 95 Hops Into the Easter Festivities
The has hopped into annual Easter celebration, emerging in a colourful pastel arrangement that hits all the right notes. The release will join other Swoosh models to adopt Easter renditions, with pics already emerging this year of an and an that have run with the festive theme.
This Air Max 95 colourway makes full use of the silhouette’s signature wavy upper, stacking shades of violet, pink and bone on top of each other, before hitting the branding points and eyelets with hits of green. A clean white midsole splices the design, while mixed materials across the upper elevate the layered finish.
That same layered aesthetic was inspired by a rainy Beaverton day way back in the early 1990s. The story goes that Nike designer Sergio Lozano was staring out his office window when he began to imagine the falling rain eroding the landscape to unearth the strata below. Using the concept of previously hidden layers to build a shoe resonated once more when Lozano later considered the anatomy of a foot which, of course, features similarly layered muscle fibres and flesh under the skin.
Pairs of this Easter-themed Air Max 95 are expected to arrive fairly soon – presumably before the big day – so keep a close eye on Nike and selected Swoosh stockists.
