The Nike Air Max Plus Howls on Halloween
Official images of a new have emerged, and it looks ready to howl for Halloween. While the recent rendition is a more obvious nod to the ghoulish annual event, the gradient finish on this Tn provides a more subtle Halloween vibe – conveniently making it wearable all year round.
Anchored by strong additions of black, the colourway is highlighted by expert touches of orange that appear throughout the design, most notably on the overlay ribs that fade from black to orange.
The Air Max Plus first arrived on the scene back in 1998, and was the brainchild of industry veteran Sean McDowell. The distinctive upper is said to have been inspired by Florida’s swaying palm trees and eye-catching night skies. The OG colourway’s dusk-inspired blue fade and moulded palm trunk–like overlays left a strong impression on the sneakersphere, and sparked a notoriety that is still quite palpable to this day.
