The Nike Air More Uptempo Catches a ‘Sky Blue’ Fade
The growing saturation of the in the current market means it may finally break free from its somewhat , some 25 years since its debut. After the classic black and white OG returned alongside and more thematic renditions like the pack, the towering bubble-soled baller looks to maximise its exposure in the retro limelight with this new colourway.
While the Air More Uptempo has quite a number of individual panels when compared to the slick, one-piece seamless creations often seen today, it holds back on the opportunity to create a crazy multi-coloured creation. Instead, this colourway is zoned off into three separate sections, creating a simple gradient effect. And Nike have chosen a pleasing transition that begins with a clean white first third beginning at the toe box, then light blue down the middle third, before ending with a darker shade of this pastel blue around the rear third and heel. This solid blocking is also added to the heel of the midsole for extra contrast. There are also plenty of perforations on the leather upper, keeping things period correct.
The Nike Air More Uptempo ‘Sky Blue’ is due to release on May 1 from selected Nike retailers.
