The Nike Air More Uptempo ‘Peace, Love, Swoosh’ Gets Full Size Run

Good News! After images emerged earlier this month of the impending Nike  Air More Uptempo ‘Peace, Love, Swoosh’ in GS sizing, there are now equally-colourful pics of the design in adult sizing. Starting with a clean white base, this release splashes a vibrant array of colours and iconography across the Uptempo’s signature lettering, spreading that vibe of peace and love – within a Swoosh setting, of course.

Back in the bombastic 1990s, the Air More Uptempo was forced to fight for sneaker supremacy with heavyweight ballers such as the Air Jordan 11, Penny Hardaway’s Air Penny, and Gary Payton’s Zoom Flight 95. The aggressive silhouette forged its own path amongst that cacophony, borrowing the larger-than-life design language of the decade and elevating Nike’s storytelling to new heights. Maximalist, brash and badass, the Air More Uptempo was deemed by one Sneaker Freaker writer to be the real MVP. Just like its marquee athlete, Scottie Pippen, this silhouette is a superstar in its own right, and still resonates with the current sneaker scene.
