The Nike Air Structure Triax 91 Goes for Greyscale
Having just heralded the of the Triax 91 yesterday, we already have a second colourway to add to the mix. Featuring a toned-down combo of black, white and grey, this design offers a neat alternative for those wanting to keep their retro sneaker credentials a little more hush hush.
Debuting in 1991 as the Air Structure, this silhouette was designed for stability. Characterised by its slightly wider and flat-bottomed sole, additional features included the reinforced visible Air unit at the heel and flex notches on the forefoot. Renowned for being one of the most comfortable retro runners from its original era, the Air Structure reemerged during the Nike Sportswear period towards the end of the 2000s. Upon that initial return, it was dubbed the Air Structure Triax 91 to distinguish the retro edition from the OG performance version.
Pairs of this greyscale Nike Air Structure Triax 91 are expected to land soon at Nike and selected Swoosh stockists. They’d be a welcome retro addition to many an Air-bubbled rotation.
