The Nike Killshot OG ‘Team Red’ Stays On Target
are keeping up a steady stream of colourways, with a new ‘Team Red’ palette that’s reminiscent of the model’s relaunch edition from the middle of last year. There are, however, a number of differences with this latest release, providing some changes that distinguish it from previous drops.
For one, this Killshot doesn’t go for the faux-vintage look that sneakers of this era tend to go for. Artificial pre-yellowed rubber midsoles and purposely ‘accidental’ glue stains are not found here. Instead, expect crisp white mesh uppers matched to similarly pure rubber midsoles rendered in #FFFFFF (that’s the hex code for white). But this Killshot isn’t simply a plain piece of processed sneaker bread to snag a foot in between, Nike make sure there are some interesting textures with the slightly contrasting neutral grey suede toe cap, eyestays, and heel counter. Which leaves plenty of room for the large Swoosh and heel tab to be splashed in ‘Team Red’, a shade that is almost burgundy. There’s a subtle little detail on the Nike text on the tongue tag that matches the contrast colour too.
The Nike Killshot OG is an underrated GR that tends to just pop up at most good sneaker stores. In fact, they’re out now from UK e-comm monolith END.
