The Nike Shox BB4 is Bouncing Back to Shelves
Those of a certain age will remember the when it first released in 2000, with its bright silver and black upper, setting the framework for the still-crazy Shox heel columns. Almost 20 years later, it’s returning.
In what remains a futuristic-looking design, the smooth upper is two-toned in aforementioned silver and black, with moulded stripe detailing on the silver section. The black parts are plain, save for five silver dots denoting the Shox’s inclusion in Nike’s Alpha Project.
Thanks to the Internet, it’s so easy to dive into history and relive an earlier time for sneakers. The BB4 and wider Shox line was launched with a memorable commercial, featuring a distinct ‘boing boing’ sound effect.
The Nike Shox BB4 is set to return on August 9 at Nike retailers.
