The Off-White x Air Jordan 2 Low Gets a Rumoured Release Date
First leaked , follow up to x will be two upcoming colourways of the Low. Taking to one of the Jumpman’s more underrated silhouettes for this latest collaboration, the trailblazing designer adds to his previously released , and projects. It hasn’t taken long, but a rumoured release date for these AJ2s has already been speculated.
A possible nod to the ‘Varsity Red’ colourway from 1986, one of the versions features midsoles with an ‘aged’ aesthetic, and a cracked appearance. signature is printed on the lateral collar, while Virgil’s signature plastic zip tie hits the laces. As expected, Helvetica text is stamped on the medial quarter, with two sets of ‘SHOELACES’ included in cream and black.
And there’s another colourway done in black with purple accents, bright coral laces, and an orange zip tie. MJ’s signature also features on this pair, but it’s done in silver (instead of black) and placed on the lateral quarter.
No official release details have been revealed, but all signs are pointing to a release on September 23 via Nike and select Jordan Brand stockists. It’s the Air Jordan 2’s 35th anniversary this year, so the drop is positioned as one of the sought-after celebratory sneakers of 2021.
