The Shoe Surgeon Crafts an Exotic ‘Shattered Backboard Homage Lux’ Air Jordan 1

Given the seems to be the zeitgeist silhouette of hype sneakers right now, high-end customisers like are afforded the opportunity to take the silhouette to the next level.

Coinciding with this weekend’s ‘Shattered Backboard 3.0’ is the ‘Shattered Backboard Homage Lux’, a blended palette of first two releases in the theme. Rather than go down the corny route of mismatched pairs, The Shoe Surgeon expertly split each shoe in two, with the lateral side in black, white and orange, and the medial side heavily skewed towards orange and white.

On paper, it all sounds straightforward so far, but in typical The Shoe Surgeon style, the entire upper is made from exotic large-scaled python skin, and the lining is ‘plonge’ aka very luxurious lambskin.
