Werewolf Flanders Attacks the adidas Rivalry

continue to pay a visit to the beloved citizens of Springfield. In recent years, we’ve seen several classic editions pay homage to Matt Groening’s The Simpsons, with everything from ‘Squishees’ to ‘Krusty Burger’ Hell, we’ve even had a ‘Duff Beer’ .

The latest member to join the collaboration is a ‘Treehouse of Horror’ special perfect for Halloween, with ‘Werewolf Flanders’ transforming on the adidas Rivalry. Previously appearing on the adidas McCarten for the ‘Left-Handers Rule’ colab, the latest design is inspired by the moment when Ned Flanders turns into a werewolf in The Simpsons’ ‘Treehouse of Horrors X’ episode. The shoe features hairy felt panels that capture Flanders’s werewolf fur, while other parts of the shoe resemble his classic garb – a pink collared shirt and green sweater. Over on the insoles, there is graphic letterform that reads, ‘I know what you did’ – a cheeky reference to the classic 1997 flick, I Know What You Did Last Summer. Of course, there’s also plenty of fan-service featured as part of the packaging, including what looks to be custom pins and a change of laces.
