If you can remember as far back as January, then you would recall the tasty collaborative drop between Parisian eatery Paperboy and on the . The mouth-watering iteration first came to light through a cute cartoon, and quickly followed with the official reveal and then the highly-anticipated in-store release. While they didn’t waste time with the first round drop, the promised second coming has taken around six months, but it’s finally here!
This isn’t Paperboy’s first rodeo with the Boston-based brand, the team hooked up last year to rework the 801 in a guise inspired by their Tuna Tataki sandwich. For their latest, they’ve decided to continue the food-themed makeups with the 992 inspired by ‘Fried Egg’. The crep has been constructed with a nice mix of mesh and pigskin suede, with tonal white dominating and splashes of yellow representing the yolk. Tasteful branding hits have made it to the tongue and heel, with graphic insoles adding a nice touch. Aesthetic AF, they also didn’t skimp-out on the sole tech with ABZORB and ENCAP injected down below for maximum comfort.
The Paperboy Paris x New Balance 992 ‘Fried Egg’ originally released as an in-store exclusive on January 30, and the long-awaited global drop will happen on June 19. Retailers like END. and BEAMS will be stocking pairs, raffles are open now so you better get in quick!
