This Collection Puts the UGG in 'Ugghh'
UGG, long-regarded as the antithesis to good taste in footwear, have a new collection that’ll make you groan their name.
Two of the offering’s models aren’t that offensive. The Tasman and Nemuel are just de-fleeced UGG boots that bite Visvim — standard fare. But the 805X Runner is a different story. Slapped together with styling already overused in high-fashion () and mid-tier () sneakers, the 805 is another weak, Zara-level example of brands trying to Trojan Horse their way into sneaker culture.
That said, this collection isn’t all bad. The Japan-exclusive wears military garb like the best of them with the same ballistic nylon used in air force parachutes, which, we’ve got to admit, is pretty cool. It’s just a pity they couldn’t make it look good.
These are available now, but we’re not going to tell you where to buy them because we don’t want to see them worn. Do your googles.
