This Nike Air Max 90 Pays Homage to the Swoosh
The is preparing to pay homage to one of its most famous adornments: the Swoosh. Literally calling out the date the now omnipresent trademark was registered with the US Patent Office, the medial side of this AM90 features a ‘First use June 18, 1971’ just above a side Swoosh that is just an outline, in contrast to the more familiar all-white leather Swoosh that sits on the lateral side.
White also lands on the laces, midsole and tongue, while the rest of the upper sports a tonal melange of ‘Signal Blue’ and ‘Game Royal’. Elsewhere, metallic gold lace locks feature the beloved Swoosh, complete with a cheeky little diamond encrusted in each.
The Air Max 90 continues to make history over 30 years since its debut, recently hitting stores in an interesting range of colourways that cater for many different sneaker tastes. Some highlights have included a , an , a , and even a for the golf course.
Pairs of this blue Air Max 90 are expected to hit Nike and selected Swoosh stockists very soon, giving you a chance to pay tribute to history.
