American menswear designer is no stranger to sneaker collaboration, having got in bed with a number of brands over the years that align with his US-inspired design aesthetic. One of those has been , and following a from last year they are back with a crisp collection dubbed ‘Rebel Prep’. It will consist of 18 pieces including a a slew of apparel, a Jack Purcell and .
‘The collection was inspired by the way that artists, rock stars and other rebels effortlessly mix sportswear with more sartorial styles,’ says Snyder in a press release.
Both the Jack Purcell and Chuck 70 have been elevated by Snyder, having been remade using a waxed canvas material from British Millerain who are a century-old company that creates water resistant outdoor fabrics, mainly for outerwear. The Chuck 70, looking to be a limited edition release, boasts a mostly-green upper with tasteful leather mudguards and completely white midsole. It seems Snyder opted out of the stripe usually wrapped around the bottom section. The Jack Purcell rocks a similar composition, however the upper isn’t one solid colour, choosing a gradient, tie-dye-esque pattern in a tonal green. They both come correct in Todd Snyder tongue and lateral heel branding.
A raffle is open right now for the limited Todd Snyder x Converse Chuck 70 and will run via the brand’s web store, ending on January 24. The remainder of the ‘Rebel Prep’ collection including the apparel and Jack Purcell will hit shelves on January 27.
