and may have brilliantly deemed their NikeCraft ‘boring’ in a memorable print ad that looks like it belongs in the pages of , but Sachs’ rabid fans seem to think it’s anything but boring: its flew out of his webstore with frightening speed and is now flipping for several hundred dollars, even though the artist indicated that it would be Now, Sachs and Nike are ready to run it back with a second General Purpose Shoe colourway, namely a bright style that’s dubbed ‘Dark Sulfur.’
A borderline McDonald’s type beat, the ‘Dark Sulfur’ may be murky in name, but it’s bright in its colour with a bold yellow mesh upper that’s cut by white Swooshes, off-white tongue tags and gigantic orange heel and tongue tabs. Special branding is applied tastefully across the heels and insoles, while the inside of the tongue tag offers a special message. Down below, -style midsoles work with classic waffle outsoles to round off the look.
It wouldn’t really be a Sachs x Nike sneaker without some special packaging, so the ‘Dark Sulfur’ box is covered in Sachs’ signature hand-drawn doodles. On the inside of the lid, there’s also a manifesto that explains the NikeCraft mission.
We’ll see what the deal is with a release date for the Tom Sachs x NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe ‘Dark Sulfur’ soon – at the time of writing, nothing has been announced. However, it should be priced at the same $110 as its white-and-blue predecessor, and hopefully, it’ll be a perennial style as well.
