Tyler, The Creator Launches Quickstrike Converse Chuck 70 ‘Chromakopia’
continues to showcase his flair for memorable album launches. On October 31, the California rapper and creative polymath staged a surprise performance on the rooftop of the store in Boston to mark the release of his latest album, Chromakopia. Fans were treated to around 30 minutes of live renditions from the new album, with tickets selling for just $5. But the celebrations didn't end there. Tyler also hooked up with Converse for a quickstrike ‘Chromakopia’ edition of the Converse Emblazoned with the green text of Chromakopia on the lateral sides (complete with horns on either side), the special edition Chuck 70s kept things classic beyond the Chromakopia branding, with classic black and white stylings.
Tyler, The Creator’s eighth studio album, Chromakopia, released on October 28, 2024. The LP introduces a new persona, St. Chroma, who comes to embody Tyler’s exploration of identity and self-discovery. The album also features a bus load of collaborations with artists such as Daniel Caesar, Doechii, GloRilla, LaToiya Williams, Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, Lola Young, Santigold, Schoolboy Q, Sexyy Red, and Teezo Touchdown.
