Previous efforts have included rather bohemian materials like to more flamboyant and this upcoming drop sits somewhere in between, recalling some idiosyncratic motifs seen on recent efforts on the streetwear front: denim and polka dots.
Denim is a popular substitute for the Chuck’s usual canvas uppers, and washed blue twill is used in this instance. So far, pretty conventional… Then there are the dots. Multi-coloured dots are screen-printed at random across the top, and are liberally spaced apart to back off on the confetti effect. Some colourful decorations also appear on the outsoles. Inside, there is a custom insole print.
Elsewhere, the classic Chuck 70 formula is followed. ICYMI, these are a of the Chuck Taylor All Star, and replicate its design cues from the 1970s. Features including slightly taller midsole foxing, ‘Egret’ beige rubber patina, nickel eyelets, dense woven laces, and cushioned insoles come as standard on this throwback template.
