Union Announce Release Info For Their Nike Dunk Low 'Passport Pack' Colabs
Inspired by international travel, the thrill of picking up dope kicks and gear you'd never be able to get your hands on back home and three of the world's cultural hubs – New York City, Los Angeles and Tokyo – and 'Passport Pack' collection of takes on the stuff a lot of storytelling into their low-cut design, drawing directly from Union founder Chris Gibbs' experiences traversing the world. The collection's trifecta of styles first started trickling out in December, and now Union have officially announced release info for the set.
There's a 'Pistachio' colourway that's navy and soft green, a nod to a Europe-exclusive colourway that was released in 2003, plus a purple and white style that offers shades of the Dunk High 'City Attack' from 1999 while also adding some Los Angeles Lakers flair with gold contrast stitching. Last but not least, a two-tone blue Dunk Low seemingly nods to the Dunk Low 'Aragon' from 2001, sans its addition of red contrast stitching. Each is housed in a ripstop shell and secured with unfinished threads, a salute to how Gibbs would often find fantastic sneakers 'hiding in plain sight' during his travels. Of course, Union's Frontman logo and special yellow hangtag add some brand-specific flair into the mix as well!
Per an announcement on Union's website and Instagram page, the 'Pistachio' will be the first pair to release, dropping February 11. The next two styles will follow in March, though an exact date of arrival has yet to be confirmed.
