Vans 50th Anniversary Edition Van Doren Approved Collection
UPDATE: are going all out for their 50th anniversary. On top of the three bold make-ups we showcased previously, Vans have revealed a plethora of additional footwear as part of the 50th Anniversary Edition Van Doren Approved Collection. The collection of heritage-themed make-ups was hand-picked by , son of Vans founder Paul Van Doren. Inspired by a classic shot of Van Doren from the mid 90s – featuring the Vans icon buried under an assortment of releases from throughout the brand's history – the collection revives vintage colourways and prints from throughout the brand's history. Accompanying the earlier-shown releases are additional colourways of the , and , as well as three Boot reissues. The footwear is also complemented by an apparel collection of t-shirts, caps and backpack, all inspired by heritage prints and designs.

are celebrating their 50th anniversary this year, and that’s one heck of a milestone. To keep the party pumping they’ve released a new 50th Anniversary pack, adding to this year’s already crazy list of releases. The man himself, Steve Van Doren, has had a hand in the creation of the pack – producing a boldly colour-blocked trio of classics. The , and have been given similar colourways – each made up from red, blue and yellow canvas with the obligatory checkerboard in the mix. You have to admit, Vans is still looking pretty good for its age.
