Vans Anaheim Factory Pack Brings 80s Skull Print Back From the Dead
Popular amongst purists since launching a couple of years ago, the Anaheim Factory line continues to drop an intriguing selection of throwback styles from the brand’s archives. Taking it back to the days of coffin-shaped skate decks and Skyway Tuff wheels, Vans have adorned the latest Anaheim Factory pack with their infamous all-over skull print.
Skulls were a big look in the 1980s skateboard/BMX scene – from Life’s A Beach clothing to Skull Skates, the Jolly Roger motif was everywhere. Now Vans bring it back with the Anaheim Factory OG Skulls , that comes in a choice of black/white or red/black colourways, alongside a single red/black rendition of the , and a black/white .
As with previous Anaheim Factory releases, these stay true to the original 1966 hand-made canvas sneakers, with heavy 10-oz. canvas uppers and higher glossed foxing tape. An added bonus is the inclusion of an UltraCush footliner, providing the shoe with more comfort than its 1960s counterpart.
