Vans Brings Back the Carver
are resurrecting a silhouette from their archives and are keeping it the exact same, exemplifying the cyclical nature of fashion. While it is not as well known as some Vans classics, the Vans Carver was a favourite with skateboarders when it first released in 1980. It has since fallen off the radar, but Vans are reeling it back onto their shelves, evoking nostalgia for the sleek and versatile model.
The Carver will release in high and low cut iterations, with both featuring ‘Sand’ and ‘Black/Black’ colourways. The entire upper is constructed of smooth natural leather, creating a more luxurious, lifestyle look compared to other Vans shoes. The unisex model has a voluminous mock toe and holes punched into two wavy lines on the side in lieu of the Vans logo.
The reprinted Vans Carver is available right now at ABC-MART, both in-store and online for $80.
