Vans Pushes Boundaries with the Old Skool 36 FM

Known for pioneering standout releases, premium skate sub-label is back with the Old Skool 36 FM, a reimagined take on the that is influenced by the essence of sound.
Initially previewed at Milan Design Week as a part of a multi-sensory installation, the Old Skool 36 FM, aka Future Making, is made up of a modular cupsole and lofted engineered-knit upper, resulting in an offering that’s as comfy as it is forward-thinking. The 3D-injected TPU, arguably the highlight of the design, brings a bold structural edge, while Vans' proprietary Sola Foam ADC insole and EVA Strobel construction ensure next-level comfort and durability.
Rolling out with the Old Skool 36 FM is the Old Skool 36 Vibram, a glossy leather upgrade of the classic that now sits on a sturdy Vibram sole. As the debut release in OTW’s Future Make series, both styles aim to push the boundaries of innovation through progressive design, advanced construction and materiality, blending past inspirations with future aspirations.
The Vans Old Skool 36 FM will release on April 11 through the OTW webstore.
