More Footwear Absurdity: Avavav Remix the adidas Superstar with 'Superfingers'

Florence-based fashion brand Avavav have made a name for themselves by pushing the envelope with provocative designs. Helmed by Beate Karlsson, Avavav are now infiltrating the sportswear realm with their debut collaboration with Unveiled at Milan Fashion Week earlier this year, the partnership reimagines the classic adidas with a unique twist: a detachable ‘Superfingers’ piece.

The ‘Superfingers’ attachment, (which actually doubles as a handbag), takes inspiration from Avavav’s iconic four-finger motif. It covers the forefoot but can be detached for even more bizarre styling options. Available in red and black colourways, both iterations of the sneaker boast premium leather uppers, debossed ‘SUPERSTAR’ text, and co-branded adidas x Avavav logos on the tongue and heel.

The Avavav x adidas Superstar and accompanying collection will release on November 21, 2024 via the adidas CONFIRMED app. The sneakers, available in women’s sizing, are priced at $250. Stay tuned for more details as the release date approaches.
