Wales Bonner and adidas Unleash New Exotic Sambas and Superstar
She's largely credited with propelling sales into the stratosphere, but isn’t done with her muse just yet. The Central St Martins alumni is lining up yet another Three Stripes colab, which somehow manages to stay as strong as her last. This time, GWB has readied two Sambas, two and an , with each pair receiving an exotic textural treatment.
Kicking things off, the classic Sambas arrive in two colourways – one navy and one tan – and feature Croc leather-inspired uppers with a mix of textures up top. Like her previous nylon and iterations, the pairs carry through some of Wales Bonner’s signature Samba details, like decorative exposed stitching around the heel and co-branded tongue detailing. Said tongues, however, have received a makeover for this edition – they come crafted from a woven fabric which adds an extra point of interest up top. The two Sambas also form the base for the accompanying Millenniums, which see the former style's heels get spliced together with a Millennium forefoot. Here, the navy Samba is paired with a yellow toe box, and the tan is paired a navy metallic version.
In addition to the Sambas and Samba MN, Wales Bonner has also prepped another take on the adidas Superstar. Remaining minimal in comparison, this pair opts for a classic navy-on-cream makeup, with elevated detailing coming from the Croc-inspired leather construction, gold branding hits, signature stitching and red sock liners. So far, we’re yet to hear of a release date for any of the upcoming pairs, but stay locked for the info as it comes in!
