Watch Your Step: The Nike Tuned 'Red Belly Black' is Back!
The rumours were true! Spotted in the tall grass earlier this month, the ‘Red Belly Black’ is slithering back onto shelves soon. And the deadly black and red rendition looks downright menacing.
Taking cues from the omnipresent red-bellied black snake found across Australia’s east coast, the reptilian palette is a perfect match for Sean McDowell’s Air Max tour de force, the signature TPU ‘stripes’ this time adopting a black-to-red gradient fade.
Featuring murdered-out mesh uppers, the TN turns up the volume at the Swoosh and midfoot shank, both features blasted in a bellicose red. Of course, the indelible TN insignia is stamped on the heel, while the patented Tuned Air tech brings advanced cushioning for your feet. Need more convincing? Take your pick among one of seven crimson Air Max units swelling across the midsole.
Originally appearing in 2020, the ‘Red Belly Black’ was quick to strike our hip pockets and the colourway certainly wasn't keen on languishing on shelves. Rest assured, you’ll need to be quick for this restock!
