White Mountaineering Unlock a Teched-Out Saucony GRID Web Colab
Japanese technical garment label have joined up with American running company for a two-pack collaboration on the retrofuturistic model. One edition is a clean black and white execution, while the other option goes full technicolour.
The GRID Web was a top-of-the-line model at the turn of the millennium, so it’s decked out in a very techy looking webbed upper design paired to their flagship GRID cushioning tech (hence the model name). Like the , White Mountaineering use the structural overlays to contrast against the mesh base. The black and white edition is paired up with some complementary grey, an execution that slides right into the brand’s clean clothing collections.
But if that’s a bit too conservative for the colour-loving sneakerheads among you, the electric purple and neon orange mix will more than suffice. Built atop a white and grey mesh upper, the gradient treatment and vibrant outsole layout could pass off as a 2000 original from Saucony’s catalogue. And, if you really wanted to, you could probably still run a decent 5K wearing these. You’d definitely be among the steeziest retro runners!
