Wider Release: The Concepts x Nike Kyrie 7 ‘Horus’

Following an exclusive  drop last week, news has now arrived for a wider release of the alluring Concepts x Nike  Kyrie 7 ‘Horus’. The latest in a long line of detailed colabs between Concepts and Kyrie Irving, the ‘Horus’ again looks towards Egyptian iconography for aesthetic inspiration to deliver a super detailed build. Taking design language from the sand and sky in the desert before nightfall, the release also features the Winged Sun, a symbol associated with divinity, royalty and power.

Debuting late last year, the Kyrie 7 is naturally designed for the kind of quick-cutting player that Irving is on the NBA stage. According to Nike, ‘Irving’s creativity might include flashy, impossible dribbling, but his dance-like sequences always have a point. He’s working to either get to the basket or set up his teammates (or make a defender look silly). Similarly, the way in which Irving’s signature line taps into other Nike disciplines is a matter of intention. New technologies and tools are meaningless unless they drive new futures.’

Pairs of the Concepts x Nike Kyrie 7 ‘Horus’ are expected to hit SNKRS on May 19.
