Release Date: Zion Williamson x Naruto x Air Jordan 37 ‘Rasengan’

Zion Williamson’s love of anime is well-known. In fact, the Japanese manga series Naruto served as his inspiration behind the inaugural Zion 1 collaboration.

Now, we’re getting an official look at the upcoming Zion Williamson x Naruto x Air Jordan 37 ‘Rasengan’, a colourway inspired by Naruto’s Rasengan – a move the character employs to create a ball of chakra.

Featuring spiky yellow on the tongues (an allusion to Naruto’s signature hairstyle), the Air Jordan 37 includes monochromatic serene blue uppers. Claw marks strike the ankle pads, while the tongues are emblazoned with metallic silver – inspired by Naruto’s forehead armour. Naruto’s catchphrase だってばよ! (‘believe it!’) is inscribed on both tongues, and the Rasengan chakra orbs adorn the insoles.

In terms of the Air Jordan 37, the design takes inspiration from the Air Jordan 7. The silhouette employs a tread pattern identical to its predecessor, while the exoskeleton borrows heavily from the AJ7’s iconic overlays. The upgrades are aplenty when it comes to cushioning, too – double-stacked Zoom bags are combined with Zoom strobels, and Formula 23 foam adds further support to the heels.
