SNEAKER FREAKER x ASICS 'ALLEY CATS'
ALL SOLD OUT!!!! PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR A FULL LOST OF GLOBAL STOCKISTS ASAP.
Melbourne is renowned for its interconnected laneways that make the seedy downtown area a rabbit warren of late-night energy. AC/DC Lane, Celestial Avenue and Meyers Place are jam-packed with noodle joints, laidback speakeasys and underground clubs. While Tokyo is one of the world’s great megalopolises, it’s the street-level network of boutiques, micro-bars and izakayas in Harajuku, Golden Gai and Harmonica Alley that offer a reminder that humans still power even the biggest urban economies. The GEL-Lyte III OG is of course no stranger to either party, with SF responsible for the ‘Alvin Purple’ and ‘Tiger Snake’ colabs, while the atmos highlights reel includes the ‘Nexkin’, ‘Duck Camo’ and ‘Midnight Tokyo’ among others.
The spec sheet is fully loaded, with matte aluminium eyelets, ‘Alley Cats’ heel-tabs, custom footbeds, co-branded tongue logos and glow-in-the-dark tiger stripes that dose the classic ASICS in after-dark pizzazz. As seen on the OG GL III, the rubberised lattice featured on the sidewall and heels makes a welcome return here, while alternate sets of rope laces provide either a muted option in black-out purple or a slinky slime concoction that riffs on the neon green outersole.
