adidas and Acid House: Gary Aspden Talks SPEZIAL
Gary Aspden is back with a new range of archaically-inspired sneakers. The new batch of footwear explores the role that the brand played in the acid house movement in the 80s, focusing primarily on Manchester's second ‘Summer of Love’, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year.
The collection is driven by the fashions that defined the rave scene of the era mixing straight up retro aesthetics with some modern additions. No detail was overlooked in the creation of the range; from the Glenbuck’s authentic sole lip to the gold stickers on the insoles, every stitch has been considered with the utmost care. Elements of the Padiham, Hulton and Indoor Kreft have all been lightly tweaked to fit in with modern sensibilities, yet still manage to look like something straight off the British club scene of yesteryear.
You can join the raffles for the first drop of the new adidas SPEZIAL range now over on , good luck.
