Confirmed: Air Jordan 5 ‘Fire Red’ is Coming Back with Nike Air
Next year marks 30 years since the first released. One of the original colourways is the ‘Fire Red’, which is returning in its proper Nike Air–branded livery.
Boasting white leather, red lining, black midsole, and clear sole elements, you might also notice the 3M-reflective tongue that shone brightly when photographers flashed it. Undoubtedly a definitive basketball shoe of the 90s, fans and newcomers will be treated with an essential sneaker.
Most importantly, the heels will display Nike Air embroidery in red – a detail omitted from the 2013 and 2008 retro editions. The last time we saw Nike Air branding on the ‘Fire Red’ 5 was the year 2000.
According to zsneakerheadz, the ‘Fire Red’ 5 will return on March 28, 2020. This is a significant date: 30 years to the day that scored a career-high 69 points for the Chicago Bulls against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
