As part of the D/MS/X program, the classic will see a new-age update with React foam. Maintaining the general silhouette, the upper is slightly modified with experimental panel shapes and cored-out areas.

Seen above in white-on-white, mesh is used on the mid panel and tongue for breathability. The design even goes as far as replacing the Swoosh panel with a printed version. However, the star of the show is hidden inside: React appears to be working in tandem with Air in the midsole, called out by the co-existing lateral badges.

This release will definitely pique the curiosity of those wanting modern comfort in a timeless shape. There is no confirmed date yet, but it’s likely they’ll quietly arrive on shelves at Nike retailers soon.
