Futurecraft 4D
Developed in conjunction with Silicon Valley-based Carbon, the Futurecraft 4D is the first mass-produced 3D-printed shoe to come to market. Highlighted by a 3D-printed midsole created with Carbon’s ‘Digital Light Synthesis’ technology (which blasts liquid with light to create three-dimensional products), the Futurecraft 4D pairs the innovative tooling with an UltraBOOST-like Primeknit upper. Following its unveiling in 2017, the shoe officially launched in 2018 before adidas brought the 4D tech to additional silhouettes.
