The athletics at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games has provided a plethora of entertainment, mega triumphs and a few downfalls. The sprints are the jewel in the Olympic crown for many, with Julien Alfred and Noah Lyles scoring gold in their respective competitions. Hot off the track are the 110 metre hurdlers, with adidas athlete and member of Team USA Grant Holloway taking gold in the men’s division. He crossed the finish line with a stellar time of 12.99 seconds while wearing adidas Y-3 spikes.

‘How do I even describe this moment?’ Holloway said in a press release from adidas. ‘Winning on the biggest stage, in front of the world, with family, friends, and team watching on – it doesn’t get better than that. It’s been a long three years since Tokyo, but the experience that the tournament has given me made the difference out there today.’

Grant Holloway Wins Gold in His Y-3 Spikes

Following his gold medal performance, Holloway held up the adidas Y-3 Spikes that helped carry him to victory, the Y-3 Adizero Prime SP3 Strung, which is the model to those worn by Lyles during his gold-medal winning 100m sprint. Holloway has an impressive record, as the super-star hurdler scored silver in Tokyo 2020 and has won three world championship titles in his long career.
