Florida Heat: The Air Jordan 4 ‘Gators’ PE Is Bone-Crunching
The Air Jordan 4 PEs continue to roll out for the lucky folks enrolled at university partners. We’ve now got a closer look at the player exclusive designed specifically for the Florida Gators courtesy of @thesolesorcerer. Unfortunately, these will only be available to staff and students at the University of Florida, but you can torture yourself via the image gallery below. Another day, another badass Air Jordan 4 players exclusive! Hot on the heels of Howard University’s Air Jordan 4 ‘First Class’ PE, we’ve now got our first glimpse the edition specifically crafted for the Florida Gators. Composed in the Gators signature blue palette, the Air Jordan 4 features tumbled leather on the mudguards, while golden Jumpman branding hits the heels and tongues – as seen on the Howard University PE. Like the Howard University PE, we also see some neat university branding on the lace dubrae. Now, unless you’re enrolled at the university, you’re going to have trouble tracking these down. Still, where there’s a will – there’s a way! Happy hunting, alligators!
There’s been a scintillating sequence of Jordan Brand PEs of late, with none more jaw-dropping than the Tar Heels-inspired Air Jordan 4 ‘UNC’ that made waves last week. Now, the spotlight shifts to another standout model: the Air Jordan 4 ‘First Class’ PE, designed exclusively for Howard University. This premium design is undoubtedly a first-class ticket in the world of sneaker exclusives.
Very similar in construction to the luxurious Air Jordan 4 ‘First Class’ WNBA PE from 2023, the Howard University edition is rendered in premium dark navy suede uppers, while golden Howard Bison hangtags, HU lace dubraes and Jumpman logos on the tongues and heels add plenty of royal swagger. Over on the inside of the tongues, a crimson tag reads, ‘HU YOU KNOW’, a well-known chant associated with Howard University.
Officially joining Jordan Brand’s roster in 2022, the Bisons have since received an impressive lineup of exclusive PEs, including luxurious renditions of the Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 1. These designs reflect Howard’s athletic prestige and cultural significance as one of the most prominent historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Unfortunately, unless you’re putting up buckets for Howard University, it’s going to be a very tough cop indeed.
