Jayson Tatum and Team USA are one step closer to defending their Olympic title, with the star-studded roster securing a decisive quarterfinal victory over Brazil 122-87. The win booked their ticket to the semifinal against Serbia, after Nikola Jokić led an epic comeback against the Aussie Boomers, beating the green and gold in overtime.

The footwear highlight of the night for Team USA was no doubt Jayson Tatum’s red-hot debut of his third signature shoe, with the pupil-dilating Jordan Tatum 3 sparking plenty of chatter among sneakerheads in the stands. Somewhat reminiscent of Shaq’s kinetic signature line at Reebok (particularly the Shaqnosis), the Celtics star and NBA 2K25 cover athlete donned a patriotic colourway replete with red and blue detailing.

It’s a mighty quick turnaround between Tatum’s second and third signature models, with the Tatum 2 only just unveiled in March 2024. The model was worn during the Boston Celtics championship run this past season, with Tatum launching a suite of colourways inspired by his family, childhood memories, and of course, his love for the Celtics.

Notably, Tatum began his career with Nike before inking a deal with the Jordan Brand in July 2019. With three signature models secured and a championship ring on his finger, it’s safe to say Tatum is a prized athlete for the Jumpman roster.

Currently, there’s no official details regarding tech or materials for the Tatum 3, but make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates. For more on Olympics actions, make sure to bookmark our tag!
