As Nike's EYBL training camp continues to ready the next generation of basketball talent, yet another EYBL exclusive sneaker has come to light. Joining the Sabrina 2 and Academy Kobe that surfaced last week is this KD 17 which touches down in rich red tones. As before, the pair features the same wax seal-inspired tongue tab, as well as 'EYBL Fam' branding. Unique details include a black paint-splattered sole. Accompanying this, a turquoise GT Hustle 3 has also been revealed.

Like their predecessors, neither pair isn't expected to release, but check them out in the gallery above.

It seems that the WNBA has finally been getting its flowers this year, and the surge in support is something that the Swoosh is set to maintain as they continue to hype up the sport’s next generation. The Beaverton-based brand is dedicated to nurturing new talent through their Elite Youth Basketball (EYBL) and Nike Girl's EYBL programme, and along with all the coaching and support they could ask for, sometimes their members receive a few extra bonuses.

This summer the young ballers that make up the Nike Girls EYBL got their hands on a special edition Nike EYBL Sabrina 2 PE, and a Nike Basketball Academy Kobe. Starting with the Sabrina, the special-edition specs can be seen front and centre thanks to the EYBL nods scattered throughout. These include embroidered ‘roots’ and ‘EYBL Fam Reunion’ wordmarks on the forefoot and heel counter, and a metallic gold, wax seal-style stamp of approval on the tongue. Building on the Sabrina 2’s pastel purple tones, the accompanying Kobe comes in baby pink, and also features the same stamp detail at the tongue and an EYBL Fam Reunion spell-out on the medial heel.

Neither pair will release to the public, but it’s important to remember that the EYBL program is bigger than just the special-edition sneaks. As the next-gen takes shape, we’re sure to see a few signatures arrive in the not-too-distant future.
