Nike quietly announced the closure of their humongous NikeTown store in London earlier this year, but as refurbishments continue, the Swoosh will keep up their Regent Street presence with the launch of their RunTown pop-up. Arriving ahead of the London Marathon on April 27, the two-week pop-up sees the space transformed into a ‘first of its kind experience for runners, by runners’.
Situated in the heart of the city, the RunTown pop-up is a space to showcase Nike’s running lineup, Pegasus and Vomero, as well as their elite race day products. The ground floor of the pop-up is dedicated to the everyday runner, with spaces to trial the footwear on treadmills, while the first floor is a specialist Nike race hub that is open to customers who are set to compete in upcoming races or are visiting the store pre or post-run. This floor also plays host to the Swoosh’s race day product and offers a fuel bar and recovery zone that includes access to the brand’s Hyperice products. The space will hold a program of talks from athletes and coaches, as well as personalisation stations and an apparel colab with the London run crew .
The RunTown pop-up will be open April 17-28 and it will turn into a temporary store after that while the NikeTown regeneration works continue. Those visiting can find the location at 253-259 Regent Street.
