Nikola Jokić Is Finally Getting His Own Signature Sneaker
It looks like NBA champion and three-time MVP Nikola Jokić is finally getting his own signature shoe. The news comes after insider spotted two upcoming silhouettes of the Joker 1 at a 361 Degrees showcase in China. Reports suggest there will be two versions: a more affordable option priced at around $99 and a performance-focused Joker 1 GT expected to retail for about $140.
Jokić signed with 361 Degrees in September 2023. Before that, he consistently wore Nike sneakers on the court, including the Nike Air Zoom G.T. Jump and earlier in his career, the Nike Hyperdunk. Jokić isn’t the first Denver Nuggets star to align with 361 Degrees – his teammate, Aaron Gordon, joined the brand in 2020 and is already on his fourth signature model, the AG4. The AG4 features CGT Fibre Mesh uppers for lightweight support and stability, along with QUIKLOCK lacing for midfoot lockdown. Its full-length SOAR cushioning also provides optimal comfort and responsiveness. It will be interesting to see if any of these technical elements make their way into Jokić’s debut shoe. Fans are also hoping for some meaningful storytelling, similar to Gordon’s signature line. For instance, the ‘Someday’ colourway of the AG4 was inspired by a childhood painting where Gordon expressed his dream of becoming a professional basketball player. Personally, we’d love to see something inspired by Jokić’s horses!
Recently, Jokić was seen wearing an unknown 361 model at the Denver Nuggets Media Day event. While it's unclear whether this pair is one of the two models revealed at the 361 Degrees event in China, the shoes did feature 'Team Joker' branding on the tongue.
