The Heat Is Radioactive: adidas AE 2 ‘Lime Burst’

Anthony Edwards is a man on a damn mission. With his star stock rising by the week, we’re now getting a closer look at his upcoming sophomore signature with Team Trefoil, the AE 2.

The latest colourway is a zesty-as-hell ‘Lime Burst’ that ain’t sneaking onto the hardwood surreptitiously – it’s a straight-up lightning strike of visual flair. A stealthy black mesh upper sets the stage for radioactive hits of green, while sculpted TPU overlays lock in the build with equal parts structure and style.

Where the AE 1 leaned turbo-futuristic with its pod-like build and chunky proportions, the sequel looks to strip things back a little for speed. A sleeker cut, carved sidewalls and exposed panels improve airflow, while the midsole is expected to keep familiar Lightstrike foam and Light Boost stabilising support underfoot to handle Ant’s whiplash pace of play.

Ant isn’t keeping this energy stateside, either. He’s fresh off his first China ‘Believe That’ tour, running from August 21 to 28, where he lit up Shanghai, Chengdu and Beijing with immersive Ant Farm activations and surprise appearances. From panda cameos to Great Wall run-arounds, Edwards is building his sneaker superstardom on a global scale.

The adidas Anthony Edwards 2 ‘Lime Burst’ is set to erupt on April 12, 2026, dropping via adidas.com and select stockists. Men’s pairs will retail for $130, with GS sizing at $100.
