Feast Your Eyes on the Entire adidas ‘Year of the Snake’ Basketball Lineup
The Year of the Snake is shaping up to be a banner year for sneakerheads. Leading the pack is Kobe Bryant’s venomous Nike Kobe 5 Protro, while Jordan Brand have lined up several special editions to mark the occasion. Not to be outdone, Team Trefoil have joined the action, officially unveiling their full Year of the Snake basketball lineup today.
There’s plenty to sink your teeth and toes into this year. First up is Anthony Edward’s seminal adidas AE 1, a sneaker that climbed to the top of several ‘Sneaker of the Year’ lists this past month. The AE 1 steps into Lunar New Year celebrations with a stunning iridescent finish, evoking the chameleonic sheen of certain snake species that adapt to their surroundings. The adidas Harden Vol. 9, another Team Trefoil hooper picking up plenty of steam on the hype train, comes with a reptilian-esque violet remix. Elsewhere in the lineup, we’re seeing a jade edition of the adidas Intimidation Low, a cult classic from the 1990s that was recently exhumed by Packer, a serpent-themed Crazy 8 (formerly known as Kobe Bryant’s KB8), and a scaly version of the Forum 2000.
Aside from the footwear, the collection will also feature a stack of apparel including hoodies, bomber jackets, ringer tees and sweatpants – all united by the central Year of the Snake theme.
