adidas' New UltraBOOST X Collection Is Made For Women By Women
The Three Stripes have teamed up with Refinery29 to create 50 blindingly colourful and deliciously over-the-top UltraBOOST X customs. For the 'BOOST the Nation' collection, Refinery29 enlisted a number of talented female artists – Mari Orr, Bree Poort, Jenny Kiker and Sophia Chang, to name a few – to design sneakers representing America's 50 states.
Dressed with eye-popping embellishments such as leafy greens and red roses, little leather horses, and a slice of pepperoni pizza, the designs seek to honour the country's diversity while stoking discussion around gender inequality in sport, and encouraging leadership and creativity among girls in sport.
