Air Jordan 1 High (Royal 2017 Retro)
UPDATE: Continuing a blessed run of Jumpman retro-releases that will deliver 'Motorsport' AJ4s, 'Wings' AJ1s and a KAWS colab before the month is out, Jordan Brand are set to release a 'Royal 2017 Retro' AJ1 on April 1. Revered as grails by many, the sneaker is going to cause a ruckus when it drops – and if you're looking for extra stockists to hound, you'd do well to add to the list.
UPDATE: New images of the 2017 retro of the Air Jordan 1 High 'Royal' have begun to circulate, finally giving us an up-close look at this much-anticipated release. Like 2016's retro of the AJ1 'Bred', this year's retro features full-grain leather, a noticeable difference from the original 'Royal'. While not everybody will be a fan of the change, all the OG branding is intact, including the iconic Wings logo on the ankle and Nike Air on the tongue.
The Air Jordan 1 High 'Royal' will be available April 1 through and select Air Jordan stockists. Expect demand to be huge!
In 2016, Jordan Brand have honoured the Air Jordan 1 like never before. Almost the entire run of OG '85 colourways has been given the retro treatment, many for the very first time. While the remaining stragglers are still trickling out from Jordan HQ, the latest retro to be confirmed is one of the most heated AJ1s of all-time. The black and blue 'Royal' colourway, last seen in 2013, will make its return in all its Nike Air-embellished glory in 2017. The latest release of the high-cut AJ1 will be a true to form retro and as such, you can expect it to be an instant sell-out once it hits stores.
An exact release date for the 2017 retro of the Air Jordan 1 High 'Royal' is yet to be confirmed, but rumours of a May release have begun to circulate. We'll keep you posted as further details emerge.
