UPDATE: It turns out there's more to this black and 'Royal Blue' Air Jordan 4 than first appeared. It's actually an 'Alternate' take on the Air Jordan 4 'Motorsport', which also returns this March. Both shoes serve as a homage to Michael Jordan's long-standing passion for motorcycles, one which culminated in the formation of his own competitive motorsport team in the mid-2000s.

If you prefer your Jays black over white, you'll be able to cop these when they drop June 17 through NDC and select Jordan Brand stockists.

The Air Jordan 4 renaissance of 2016 filled demand for the retro baller with a run of Pinnacle models and teases of OG reissues. In 2017, though, the momentum isn’t slowing. This new ‘Black/Royal’ colourway of the AJ4 isn’t positioned to be on the same tier as the ‘Snakeskin’ and ‘Ginger’ releases of last year, but shows Jordan Brand are committed to bringing us exciting new makeups.

Those who pick up this GR release will enjoy supple black leather complemented by blue accents on the toe and tongue, with contrast provided by shades of grey.

The Air Jordan 4 in Black/Royal will be available from NDC on June 17.
