The Alexander Wang x adidas AW Skate is a chunky shoe that certainly hasn’t been designed with board-feel in mind. Wang has taken design cues from the simplicity of the minimal skate aesthetic, then added some heavy tread and a tri-tone midsole for a more contemporary vibe. Altogether it creates an oddly appealing silhouette, looking like a cross between a creeper and a tennis shoe.
