Official images have landed of the Air Tech Challenge II 'Hot Lava', showing off a clean side profile with a shape that is more aligned to the OG than the 2019 retro was. Peep the images below and stay locked for a release date.
After much anticipation, we can expect Andre Agassi's Nike Air Tech Challenge II to drop real soon. The American tennis player took to Instagram to share an on-foot look at the silhouette in the dark, along with an Instagram Story showcasing them in broad daylight.

The signature was debuted on the feet of in the 90s in the now-iconic ‘Hot Lava’ colourway. Since its initial launch, Nike has resurrected the combo in 2008, 2014, 2016 and the latest in to coincide with the homage. Over two decades-old, the ‘Hot Lava’ colourway still commands plenty of respect among the sneakerheads, so we’re sure many of you would be happy to hear that leaked that it’s returning to stores in 2024.
Interestingly though, early leaked word of the colours used ('Phantom', ‘Hot Lava’, black, silver, and ‘Pale Ivory’) suggests that Team Swoosh may be opting for a vintage-esque vibe. This could take place in the form of slightly yellowed midsoles and potentially cracked leather, similar to what’s been done on . There’s also a different SKU to the 2019 pair, further confirming that it won’t be a one-for-one remake. Despite these changes though, you can expect a full-leather upper with throwback perforations, black and grey hits with lava detailing on each side.
Nike haven’t confirmed anything as of yet or announced an exact release date, but you could expect pairs as soon as mid-2024.
