ASICS have unveiled their latest from the METASPEED series, introducing three innovative models designed to enhance performance for runners of all styles. The lineup includes the METASPEED SKY TOKYO, METASPEED EDGE TOKYO, and the newly introduced METASPEED RAY, each tailored to support different running mechanics and preferences.

The METASPEED SKY TOKYO is engineered for stride-style runners who increase speed by lengthening their stride. It features a full-length carbon plate positioned to maximise forward propulsion, combined with ASICS' new FF LEAP and FF TURBO PLUS foams in the midsole, delivering a soft yet responsive ride.

The METASPEED EDGE TOKYO caters to cadence-style runners who boost speed by increasing step frequency. Its carbon plate is strategically placed to enhance turnover efficiency, complemented by the same advanced midsole foams for optimal energy return.

The standout addition, METASPEED RAY, is designed for forefoot strikers seeking a lightweight, bouncy experience. Weighing just 129 grams, it incorporates the FF LEAP foam throughout the midsole, offering exceptional softness and rebound. A minimal carbon plate aids propulsion without adding weight, and the Matryx upper ensures a secure fit. The Dynamic Drop Structure adapts during footstrike, enhancing the shoe's responsiveness.

All models utilise the improved MOTION WRAP 3.0 upper for breathability and support, alongside the ASICS GRIP outsole for reliable traction.

In addition to the METASPEED series, ASICS has been actively expanding its running lineup. Recent releases include the GEL-NIMBUS 27, offering cloud-like cushioning for long-distance comfort, and the NOVABLAST 5, designed for an energised and responsive ride.
