Jerry Lorenzo Unveils Fear of God Athletics Trainer at Paris Fashion Week
After a rocky start, it seems Jerry Lorenzo’s partnership with adidas is finally picking up momentum. Today at Paris Fashion Week, the 47-year-old designer unveiled a brand new sneaker from his adidas Fear of God Athletics line. Dubbed the Fear of God Athletics Trainer, the sleek and streamlined design reinforces the minimalist aesthetics that have become synonymous with Lorenzo’s signature style.
But let’s make one thing clear from the start: this is a lifestyle shoe (perfect for casual wear and maybe some light gym use) and not designed for serious hoops. Originally teased all the way back in May 2023, the Fear of God Athletics Trainer is rendered in a ‘Night Brown/Sesame’, with earthy tones and premium materials once again highlighting Lorenzo’s signature approach to understated luxury (please don’t say ‘quiet luxury’ in this house). The shoe’s design leans heavily on versatility, making it a solid choice for both laid-back outfits and athleisure-inspired looks. Curved stitching adds depth to the toe area, while a nylon strap and pull-rope laces ensure a secure and comfortable fit. A patterned mesh fabric wraps around the heel section of the midsole, offering a modern and textured aesthetic.
At the time of writing, no release details have surfaced, but make sure to keep it locked to Sneaker Freaker for updates.
