We’re only two months into 2025 and New Balance have already started overachieving in the collaboration department. Salehe Bembury, Joe Freshgoods and Aimé Leon Dore have all unveiled their own ventures, followed by the latest Kith linkup which was teased in the brand’s Spring 2025 lookbook. The NB991v2 and NB992 are the canvases chosen to don crispy ‘Steel Blue’ tones.
It seems this year will be a big one for the 992, with New Balance already pushing the fan-favourite iteration in the JFG collaboration and their inline MADE in USA catalogue. Kith are no stranger to the model, as they launched a pair in 2020. For their latest, most of the upper has been doused in a soft blue suede with light grey overlays and two-tone laces. The second pair in this two-pack is the NB991v2, which boasts the tried-and-true ‘Steel Blue’ build that features lighter hues on the mesh base and darker suede on the overlays. Each of these have been completed with Kith branding on the lateral.
An exact release date hasn’t been announced for the Kith x New Balance 992 and 991v2, but expect a launch around mid-2025.
