For defenders who find themselves on the other end of an invitation to dance from LaMelo Ball, it always ends in a night to remember, just usually not the kind you’re excited to recount the next day. Melo has been snatching ankles since his high school days at Chino Hills. Now, he and PUMA have cooked up a new colourway of his signature MB.04 fit for the bright lights of centre court. With the MB line, PUMA has capitalised on LaMelo’s stardom and his popularity with kids via unique colourways such as the Scooby-Doo x MB.04 ‘Mystery Machine’, the Rick and Morty x MB.02 ‘Adventures’, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles colourways. Releasing soon is the MB.04 ‘Disco’, perfect for his next footwork duel.

The PUMA MB.04 ‘Disco’ immediately catches the eye with an iridescent purple/blue upper – a colour palette often associated with the disco – that will undoubtedly shimmer as Melo dazzles on the court. What truly completes the disco theme is the heel graphic, as it features Melo in a 70s-inspired suit hitting the classic disco point dance move. The graphic also includes UFO spaceships and hearts, a nod to the consistent themes throughout his sneaker line inspired by his tattoos.

No official release has been announced, but the MB.04 ‘Disco’ is expected sometime in mid-2025 and will have the standard retail price of $125.
